Test the feasibility of your idea

Are you starting your business, growing your business or coming up with a new product or service to add to your business?

It is time to test the feasibility of that idea!

Without looking deeper into the ideas you have you may release them into the world without any clue of potential interest.

Once you know who is or who could be potentially interested you will be able to refine and deliver your idea more effectively.

This then makes it far easier to market your idea and get it in front of the right people.

Here are 4 simple questions to get you started:

1 – What is your product or service idea – This needs to be very specific and detailed in order to understand your idea.

2 – Who will buy your product or service idea – Who are these clients or businesses that will buy from you, what do they look like, where are they located, what size are they etc. This is quite possibly the most important question. Don’t make the mistake by saying everyone is my client – it just doesn’t work that way.

3 – What is the benefit in buying your product or service idea – How will the individual or business benefit by buying your product or service?

4 – How will you deliver your product or service idea – How will you get this product or service to the client, by person, post, storefront etc.

 

Naturally these questions are just a starting point but if you cannot answer them clearly and concisely it is going to be difficult to sell what you have on offer.

Beyond these questions you can then review your idea and make sure that it is presented in the best way possible. This must align with who wants it and will benefit the most from it.

Further from the delivery of your idea, is it something that people will continue to purchase and if so how will you retain them?

These questions of feasibility form the basis of your business plan and then your marketing plan. Without clear answers you may struggle to tell your ideas story and convince people that they will benefit from it.
