How to add value with Social Media
If you have been following My Sassy Business for a while, you will have noticed that social media is incredibly important. Love it or hate it, social media for both business and personal accounts are here to stay.
Brands both BIG and small are regularly using social media to enhance their true and perceived value direct to their clients.
You don’t have to be on every social media channel known to exist – You only have to be on the ones that your ideal clients and their staff are on. Facebook remains number one because it is used for both personal and business. Don’t discount it as the chances are that your potential clients and their staff are all using Facebook in some form.
Close to 2 billion people right around the world are using Facebook daily and the vast majority of those via a mobile device.
It is important on Facebook to aim to post almost daily. Yes, the reach is not as good as it once was but you are still sharing content online. Unofficially this does make a difference to your SEO results. Remember to use hashtags to help with people searching for things on Facebook.
Ideas to share

Facebook Live – This is the latest and greatest tool. Facebook reports that 300% more time is spent watching live videos compared to watching at a later time.
What is Facebook Live – You can:
- Create a live feeding video
- Answer live Q & A’s
- Share a behind the scenes look
- Share your employees
- Show how to use something
- Introduce yourself
- Share a testimonial
- Do an interview
- Say thank you to all your wonderful clients
If you are going to share an image or a video etc. make sure that you have great quality. Remember what you are sharing reflects back to your business. If you share quality then people will know to expect quality.
Getting and giving reviews is great for your business. Ask your clients to leave reviews on your Facebook Page. Make sure that you thank and like the review in appreciation for people taking their time out to write it for you.
Yes, spend money advertising your products, services, specials, website and the things that align with your marketing strategy. With social media, you don’t have to spend a lot to get a great reach to your ideal clients. You can be very strategic and get wonderful results.
Just like anything to do with business, you should have some sort of strategy when it comes to social media. You must also aim to stick to that strategy and modify it when something is not working but also modify it when something is working.
