Snapchat for Business
Here we have another social media platform, which is growing in popularity for businesses to use.
Perhaps you have snapchat on your phone and you are using already with friends and family. Perhaps you have teenagers in your house who use it on a regular basis or perhaps you don’t know what I am talking about. Either way keep reading as it may be something that your ideal clients are using.
Whenever I speak about social media for small business I always emphasize that you should only be using the ones that your ideal clients are using. Snapchat is just the same and perhaps you have seen the little ghost image around.
Snapchat is a mobile photo-messaging app. It allows it’s users to take photos and short videos that remain viewable to recipients for approximately 10 seconds; after that, the “Snap” disappears, never to be seen again. IT’S FREE!
To expand its services, Snapchat has added live text, chat and video calls between contacts, which has helped increase use of the application, particularly with teens and 20 something’s.
According to socialmedianew.com.au Snapchat has approximately 2,000,000 Monthly Active Australian Users. With an average age range of 12 to 34.
What this all means is that you have an enormous potential audience that check this app on a regular basis each day. While they will be checking their friends and family messages they will also be following celebrities, brands, businesses, products and more.
